Swaminatha--he supports Siva (Swami);
Shanmukha--he has six faces (fie senses and the mind);
Guha--the hidden esoteric spiritual knowledge within us;
Devasenapati--Commander of the Deva army;
Valli-Devasena-pati--spouse of Valli ans Devasena;
Kumara guru--boy guru;
Gaangeya--borne by Ganga;
Karthikeya--nursed by the Krittika stars;
Agneya--emanated from Agni (the third eye of Siva)
Skanda--spark that 'leaped out' of siva;s central fiery eye;
Subrahmanya--exalted primal power (Su+Brahman);
Sivaguru--he explained Omkara to Siva.
Saravana--nurtured in the forest (vana) of shara reeds;
his mantr is the six-lettered SHA-RA-VA-NA-BHA-VA.
